Sown To Grow

Product Manager I / II

Full-Time in San Francisco Bay Area, CA - Associate - $110k - $120k

Sown To Grow (STG) is a K12 education technology platform that empowers schools to improve student social, emotional, and academic health through an easy and engaging reflection and feedback process. In a short weekly routine, students check-in emotionally and reflect on the strategies that are working best for them (or new ones to try). They start with a focus on emotional well-being, and expand to SEL competencies and academic goal-setting over time. Teachers, principals, and counselors access real-time reporting on students’ emotions and can proactively intervene to support student needs. The system also includes built-in student screeners / assessments, supporting SEL curriculum, and powerful artifacts of growth.

We are seeking a Product Manager I / II to join our team. An ideal candidate is someone who is excited about joining a fast-growing startup and is passionate about the idea of scaling impactful, evidence based education practices across the US and other global markets. Before starting STG, our founding team spent several years working in both the private sector and schools/districts. We care deeply about building a product that positively impacts student outcomes and supports teachers in their mission critical work. The majority of STG’s school and district partners serve predominantly low-income communities, where supporting the emotional well-being and strength of students is meaningful and impactful.

STG has received seed funding from highly selective, innovative funds including Imagine K12 (now Y Combinator Edtech), January Ventures, OneWorld Investments, the National Science Foundation, US Department of Education, NewSchools Venture Fund, Impact Assets, Digital Promise and others. The company currently serves schools in 40 states and has large-scale contracts with organizations such as Metro Nashville Public Schools (TN), Stockton Unified School District (CA), Oakland Unified School District (CA), KIPP (various regions), and more.
